Arsenal have decided against loaning out centre-back William Saliba to a Championship club before the domestic transfer window closes on Friday, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein:
⚽️ Among factors in Arsenal desire to move on Mesut Ozil may have been ~£8m bonus paid in late Sept
⚽️ Saliba set to stay at #AFC until at least Jan – no Champ loan expected
⚽️ Liverpool & Chelsea monitor young Grimsby midfielders

It had been reported that the Gunners were considering letting the 19-year-old leave until January, despite having paid £27m for the defender. The likes of Brentford and Watford were reportedly favourites to snap him up but it seems that he will not be leaving the Emirates.
Saliba is now expected to be named in Arsenal’s Premier League squad, but it remains to be seen how much game time he will get between now and the New Year. Manager Mikel Arteta has not even picked him in a matchday squad for a Premier League game this season with the Spaniard deeming him not ready to play in the top flight.
With the likes of David Luiz, Gabriel, Rob Holding, Sead Kolasinac, Kieran Tierney, Pablo Mari, Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi and Calum Chambers all able to play at centre-back, the chances of Saliba getting any minutes in the coming months is pretty low unless there is an injury crisis.
