The Athletic’s David Ornstein has revealed that both Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka will be sold by Arsenal if the club receive satisfactory bids.
The Gunners are looking to raise funds as they look to recover from the financial impact of the global health crisis, and that means some first-team players could be put on the market.
However, Ornstein also claims that the London club are not confident of finding potential suitors who would make a reasonable offer for either Torreira or Xhaka.
Torreira has consistently been linked with a move back to Italy, with both AC Milan and Napoli having been mentioned as possible destinations for the Uruguayan in recent months, although neither are said to be actively pursuing the midfielder.
Xhaka, meanwhile, was all set to leave the Emirates in the January transfer window after falling out with the club’s fanbase, but he was persuaded to stay by head coach Mikel Arteta.
