Ornstein Claims Arsenal Could Target £40M Rated Ghanaian If They Can’t Sign Mason Mount

Arsenal are interested in signing Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein (via Football-Oranje.com)

The trusted journalist claims that the Gunners are looking for a number 8, and they will consider targeting the Ghanaian international if they can’t secure the signature of Mason Mount.

With the Chelsea star also being linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, there are no guarantees that he will choose a move to the Emirates.

Considering his current club are also still determined to keep him, there is of course a possibility that he will sign a new contract and remain at Stamford Bridge.

Kudus, on the other hand, is very much interested in making the switch to the Premier League. The 22-year-old has been in great form this season, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists in 38 appearances.

Ajax won’t let him leave on the cheap, with reports suggesting that they could hold out for €45m (£40m), but he may still end up costing less than Mount.
