N’Golo Kante
N’Golo Kante is included on this list chiefly for his achievements in previous season – he’s been injured for the majority of this campaign.
It’s easy to forget just how good Kante was. Tireless running was backed up by tidy ball winning and pinpoint passing – at one point, it was no exaggeration to call him the best midfielder in the world.
When fit, he’s still a very high level operator – but the legs that made him such an effective presence in midfield are slowly fading.
