“One Of The Greatest Signings In Arsenal History” Piers Morgan Reacts To Star’s Display Against Everton

Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan has hailed Gunners captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the 30-year-old scored a brace in the 3-2 win over Everton yesterday evening.

The Gabonese international has now scored 60 goals in 95 appearances since he joined the London club two years ago, and Morgan took to Twitter yesterday to claim that the £56m spent on the striker has been well worth it:

It’s difficult to know where Arsenal would be without Aubameyang considering how prolific he is in front of goal but with less than eighteen months left on his current contract, there are concerns about his long term future at the Emirates.

The likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan have been linked with the forward in recent weeks but after the Everton victory, head coach Mikel Arteta was insistent that the club are determined to keep him:

“I think it’s been tough for him because he has big expectations. He wants to play in the biggest competitions and with the best players. We have to help him do that. He needs to feel fulfilled. He is our most important player, no doubt the impact he has in this team. We will have to convince him to stay with us.”

Gunners supporters will be very much hoping that Arteta can convince Aubameyang to stay for the long term.
