Following his calamitous performance against Watford last weekend, Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren is hardly likely to have a long term future at the Reds, and one Arsenal fan on Twitter has cheekily asked whether the Croatian should be signed by the Gunners:
Would you take this man at Arsenal? pic.twitter.com/Xn6THDtKxf

Needless to say, the response from supporters was not particularly positive, with many believing he is not better than the defenders head coach Mikel Arteta already has at his disposal:
Not even if they paid us to take him!

We could stick him with the rest of our centre backs and he wouldn't look out of place.?

David Luiz, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis all have their eccentricities and adding another erratic defender to the mix is unlikely to be a wise move.
Lovren has played in a World Cup final, and played an important role in helping Liverpool to two Champions League finals in a row, but he is not what you would describe as consistent.
If Arsenal are to sign a new centre-back in the summer, it will need to be someone who is known for his reliability, and that is something you wouldn’t ascribe to Lovren.
