Five Things We Learnt In The North London Derby: Arsenal 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal overcame their bitter rivals Spurs 1-0 in a tightly fought North London Derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Gunners defended excellently to earn a clean sheet despite their opponents having over 60% of the ball. Spurs had a few early chances but couldn’t convert letting Arsenal take the lead.

A corner sent in by Bukayo Saka gave centre-back Gabriel a simple header into the back of the net in the 64th minute. Following that, Mikel Arteta’s side didn’t give their rivals a sniff at goal as they held onto the lead until the final whistle.

The Gunners now sit second in the league behind next week’s opponents Manchester City in what will be one of the most built-up matches this season.
