Nketiah To Start, Lacazette On The Bench: Arsenal’s Predicted Line Up To Face West Ham

Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Monday would have given head coach Mikel Arteta pause for thought about his team selection for the game against West Ham tomorrow.

Pablo Mari had an assured debut and if he had a few more minutes under his belt, it would be tempting to start the Spaniard for the second time in five days but it’s likely that Shkodran Mustafi will come back into the side to partner David Luiz.

Hector Bellerin is expected to return at right-back despite Sokratis scoring versus Pompey, while Bukayo Saka will continue to deputise at left-back in the absence of Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac.

In midfield, Arteta has fewer options following the news that Lucas Torreira has fractured his ankle. Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos will likely return, with Matteo Guendouzi having to settle for a place on the bench.

Eddie Nketiah’s goal at Fratton Park means he could be picked ahead of Alexandre Lacazette, with Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang playing either side of him.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham:

Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Luiz, Saka, Ceballos, Ozil, Xhaka, Pepe, Nketiah, Aubameyang
