Nketiah And Pepe To Start, Lacazette And Willian On The Bench: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face United

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would have been happy to see his side get a few goals against Dundalk during the week. The Gunners have been pretty shot-shy this season and he will be hoping for a greater cutting edge when they travel to face Manchester United this weekend.

In defence, Shkodran Mustafi is expected to keep his place in the back three, with David Luiz out injured. The German will likely line up alongside Gabriel and Kieran Tierney, with Hector Bellerin and Bukayo Saka as the wingbacks.

Arteta’s decision to move Granit Xhaka into the backline over the past couple of games has surprised some fans but the Swiss international may well be selected in midfield to pair up with Thomas Partey tomorrow. Dani Ceballos could be kept in reserve.

With Alexandre Lacazette and Willian not in the best form at the moment, Arteta may look to shake things up in the forward line. Both Eddie Nketiah and Nicolas Pepe got on the scoresheet on Thursday so they could be given another chance to start, alongside captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, at Old Trafford.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI to play against Manchester United:

Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Gabriel, Tierney, Saka, Partey, Xhaka, Pepe, Nketiah, Aubameyang
