Nicholas Makes His Prediction For Arsenal’s Game Against Crystal Palace

Former Arsenal player Charlie Nicholas wants manager Unai Emery to make some changes to the starting eleven following their defeat to Sheffield United on Monday.

The Sky Sports pundit believes Dani Ceballos must start behind the front three in order to provide the team with more creativity, while he feels both Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney have to come back into the team for league matches. He is, though, expecting a Gunners victory tomorrow:

“Ceballos needs to be in behind the front three. If you dominate games which you should do against Palace, the middle two and full-backs will be higher up.”

“Emery wanted to emulate Liverpool’s style of play, and when those two full-backs are high, you know there is trouble coming. Bellerin and Tierney must play higher when they play and that is when the two holding players come in handy and that is how the balance works.”

“Zaha will be putting himself on the market again with Arsenal trying to buy him in the summer, while Andros Townsend will have a go being ex-Tottenham. Gary Cahill has been good since coming in for Palace, but Arsenal should have too much.”

Nicholas has gone for a 3-1 win for the home side, but this could be a closer affair than the ex-Gunner is expecting. Palace’s away record will be a concern, with the Eagles having won away at Manchester United and West Ham already this season.

They have, though, succumbed to defeats to Tottenham and Sheffield United on the road so Arsenal should be confident that they can get a result if they are focused. They were not great at the back against Vitoria midweek so this could turn into a tricky game if they are not careful.
