Nicholas Believes Arsenal Will Have To Stump Up At Least £60m For Key Target

TV pundit Charlie Nicholas believes Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is worth at least £60m in today’s transfer market.

Recent reports have linked the 26-year-old with a return to Manchester United but Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be in the running for the winger.

However, Nicholas thinks Palace will look to keep hold of Zaha if clubs don’t offer a high enough transfer fee:

“I would refuse any suggestions to get Wilfried Zaha away. Unless someone comes in with £60m, I wouldn’t take it. The key for them is to keep Zaha – he is a superstar player and entertainer.”

Zaha has reportedly requested to leave Selhurst Park this summer, and the Gunners are keen on signing a pacey winger.

The Ivorian’s price tag would, though, be a major obstacle with Arsenal working with a limited transfer budget. The London club would likely have to sell some players before making their move for the player.

The Gunners are said to be keen on the likes PSG’s Christopher Nkunku and Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser as cheaper alternatives if a move for Zaha proves to be too expensive.
