Newcastle supporters had no expectations of even getting a point when they travelled to face Tottenham away from home at the weekend before their shock 1-0 win.

The Magpies had gone into the game off the back of a very poor away defeat to Norwich City, but their defence managed to hold out against a Spurs side who were without their most creative player Christian Eriksen.

The Danish international’s future is very much up in the air with the European transfer window closing on Monday. With doubts over the future of Jan Vertonghen, as well, the Tottenham squad is unsettled at the moment.

It could be the perfect time for Arsenal to play their fierce North London rivals this weekend, especially when you hear these Newcastle fans say how badly they had been playing until they came up against Spurs:

The game at the Emirates may turn out differently, but Unai Emery’s side should certainly feel confident of getting the three points with their opponents coming off the back of such a surprising defeat.
