New Twist In William Saliba’s Future At Arsenal As Serie A Giants Get Involved

Napoli have made an enquiry about signing Arsenal defender William Saliba, according to TMW.

The centre-back had an impressive spell on loan at Marseille last season but doubts do remain over his future at the Emirates.

While Saliba has expressed a desire to return to the Gunners and make an impact, but he does only have two years remaining on his contract with the London club.

Reports earlier this year suggested that Arsenal were keen to offer the Frenchman an extension, despite the fact that he has never made a senior appearance for Mikel Arteta’s side.

There hasn’t been an update recently about the situation, but Arteta has stated an interest in keeping the 21-year-old and, combined with Saliba’s remarks, it does point towards the player remaining in England.

You would, therefore, expect the Gunners to flatly reject the approach from Napoli, as well as any other enquiry that comes the club’s way this summer.
