New Report Reveals Whether Arsenal Have A Chance Of Keeping Alexandre Lacazette Beyond The Summer

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is destined to leave the Emirates at the end of the season, according to L’Equipe.

The Frenchman has come back to prominence in recent weeks with some excellent performances and, as stand-in captain, he has led the Gunners with distinction.

However, despite now playing a key role for manager Mikel Arteta, Lacazette is very unlikely to sign a new contract that would extend his stay with the London club beyond the summer.

The main reason for that has been explained in other reports that have emerged in the past couple of months. Arsenal are not willing to hand the 30-year-old a long-term deal, which is understandable considering the club’s problems with Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

L’Equipe claim that Lacazette’s good form for the Gunners will effectively act as a shop window to demonstrate his talent, allowing him to get a better move when he does finally leave London in July.
