Napoli ‘Ready To Sell’ £45m Rated Arsenal And Tottenham Target As Contract Talks Stall

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is “ready to sell” striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport. Negotiations over a new contract for the Polish international are said to have reached an impasse and the Partenopei are now prepared to offload the player.

The 26-year-old’s current deal at the San Paolo expires in 2021 and to prevent the player leaving for nothing next year, the Italian side are looking to sell up for around €50m (£45m).

Gazzetta reports that Arsenal and Tottenham are the two likeliest teams to make a bid for Milik, who has scored 12 goals in 22 appearances for Napoli this campaign.

The Gunners would probably only be interested in the forward if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opts against signing a new deal in the summer.

Spurs, meanwhile, would be a more realistic destination with the North London club having no backup for Harry Kane who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury.
