“My information Is” Ornstein Reveals Decision Has Been Made On Arsenal’s Ace’s Future

Arsenal have decided that Reiss Nelson will be allowed to leave the Emirates on loan before the transfer window closes next month, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.

Speaking on the Tifo Podcast Youtube channel, the former BBC reporter stated that the Gunners have only recently made the decision and it remains to be seen which club he will join:

“My information is that Reiss Nelson is now available to leave Arsenal in this current transfer window on a loan basis. I think it is a very early stage of the process so I am not sure that conversations are taking place just yet with interested parties, and I’m sure there will be a lot of them. So it’s likely that he’ll go away, get game time and then, hopefully for him and Arsenal, come back to the club a better and more experienced player.”

Nelson could well feature against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup this evening but he was not included in the matchday squad by manager Mikel Arteta for the first two league games against Fulham and West Ham.

The Gunners have a wealth of options in wide areas, with the likes of Willian and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka ahead of Nelson in the pecking order.

With Gabriel Martinelli also yet to return from a knee injury, it’s hard to see where Nelson would get game time. A loan move away from the club would likely suit all parties.
