Arsenal seem to have decided which way to go this winter. With rumors all around insisting that Khedira will come to the Emirates, Schneiderlin’s transfer would be a surprise. According to Metro, the 25 year old Frenchman is closer to North London than ever. Wenger is even setting up an offer for Southampton who might be looking to sell if their financial expectations are met. The Gunners are ready to pay £15million for the defensive midfielder who was an important target during the summer as well. Unfortunately, back then, Southampton had already sold several important players and did not want to lose all their key footballers at once.

Hopefully this time Arsenal will manage to come to an agreement with the club especially after Schneiderlin went on strike because he was not allowed to play. The Frenchman is under contract with Southampton until 2017 which will make the situation a bit more complicated. The 25 year old looks desperate to move despite being one of the most decisive men on the pitch. He has been with Southampton since 2008 which says a lot about his dedication and consistency. He looks like the player Wenger needs to give some composure to the midfield where the Gunners have been failing to keep it together. Schneiderlin has all the experience needed to fill in the gaps especially considering he has already played almost 250 matches for his current team.
