AC Milan are interested in signing Arsenal attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to reports in Italy.
The Serie A club’s sporting director Leonardo is said to be hard at work looking at replacements for the injured Giacomo Bonaventura and Lucas Biglia with the Gunners star being considered.
Rossoneri boss Gennaro Gattuso is also believed to be a big fan of the Armenian international’s flexibility with the midfielder able to play right across the front three.
Mkhitaryan is currently out injured with a broken foot but it is believed Milan are hoping that Arsenal may be prepared to let the 29-year-old go if they sign Barcelona’s Denis Suarez.
Due to Financial Fairplay restrictions, though, the Italian side would be looking to sign the former Manchester United player on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Mkhitaryan has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners this campaign, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
