Milan Weigh Up January Offer For Arsenal Outcast With Negotiations To Start At £13m

AC Milan are considering an offer for Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport. The Rossoneri are said to be weighing up an approach in the January transfer window.

The Egyptian international is currently on a season-long loan at Turkish club Besiktas but the midfield enforcer could be recalled in order for a permanent sale to go ahead.

Milan are looking for a possible replacement for Franck Kessie, who has been tipped to leave for Wolves, and Elneny’s name is high on their list of options.

The Gunners are said to be holding out for as much as €15m (£13m) for the 27-year-old, who made just 17 appearances in all competitions last campaign.

At Besiktas, Elneny has only played three games so far, after being sent off on his debut in the 3-2 defeat to Gaziantep FK last month. He subsequently missed the last three league matches due to suspension but will be back in contention to play Ankaragucu on Saturday.
