Mikel Arteta has been at Arsenal since December 2019, when he took over after Unai Emery left the club. 

The Arsenal boss has turned the Gunners from a Champions League fringe team, into regular Premier League title contenders, with them battling both Manchester City and Liverpool for the league over the past three seasons.

Much of Arteta‘s success at Arsenal has come from the club’s recruitment under Sporting Director Edu, who stepped down from the role late last year. He signed the likes of Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, William Saliba and Gabriel Jesus – but what about when Arteta first started.
