BT Sport pundit Michael Owen is predicting Arsenal to secure the three points when they face Leeds at the Emirates tomorrow evening.

Mikel Arteta’s side head into the game off the back of two consecutive defeats but Owen says the Gunners’ excellent recent home form should help them to pick up a hard-fought win:

“Arsenal have kept a clean sheet in their last three home matches in the Premier League and are undefeated in five at the Emirates. This is the type of form you need going into a game like this. I’m expecting an entertaining match, and I think Arsenal will just edge it.”

Owen has gone for a 2-1 victory to Arsenal, which is an optimistic prediction, considering the threat Leeds pose going forward. Marcelo Bielsa’s side are aggressive and will throw men into the box to create chances.

This will not be an easy game to negotiate but Owen is right to point to the Gunners’ good defensive record. Arteta could well set up his side to sit back and exploit the spaces that their opponents will leave on the counter-attack.

Whether things will play out like that, we shall have to wait and see, but supporters will be keen to see Arsenal get back on track after recent results.
