Michael Owen Predicts The Outcome As Arsenal Take On Everton

BT Sport pundit Michael Owen thinks Arsenal will secure a narrow win when they face Everton at the Emirates this evening.

Both sides are going into the game having struggled for form in the league recently, but Owen believes the Gunners will have enough to clinch the three points in a tightly-contested affair:

“With neither side at their best in recent weeks, I believe this will be tight, however, Everton look really shaky at the back just now, so I’m going for a home win.”

Owen has gone with a 2-1 victory for the home side, which is a reasonable prediction to make, considering the current form of the two teams.

Everton have not won in six matches, with their last victory coming against Southampton at the start of March, but they did put in a decent performance versus Spurs last time out.

Arsenal’s problems are very much due to inconsistency. In their last five games in all competitions, Mikel Arteta’s side have won two, drawn two and lost one.

The Gunners are having issues at the Emirates, in particular, having last won a home match in the North London derby, so they are due to get back to winning ways.
