Former England striker Michael Owen is predicting an Arsenal victory when the Gunners face Aston Villa at the Emirates today.

The BT pundit believes Mikel Arteta’s side would have drawn a lot of confidence from their victory against Manchester United last weekend and he expects them to come out on top once more this evening:

“This will be another tough one for Villa, and I expect Arsenal to have their tails up. I fancy the good vibes to continue for the home side with a comfortable win against the Villans.”

With Villa conceding seven goals in their last two league games, you would think that the Gunners should have enough to clinch the three points. Especially considering how good Arteta’s team have been at the back this season, you would back them to hold out against the Villans as well as get a goal or two at the other end.

Of course, this is the Premier League, and there are no easy games. Dean Smith’s side put seven past Liverpool earlier this season but their form recently would suggest they won’t be as much of a threat tonight.
