Mexican Marksman Speaks Out About His Future Amid Interest From Arsenal And United

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez says he is committed to staying at Molineux and has every intention of fulfilling his contract at the Midlands club.

The Mexican international has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United among other teams in recent months but the forward says he has no plans on leaving his current team:

“I have a contract until 2023. It’s not that we have to qualify for the Champions League in order to stay. I’m good [here], happy with Wolves, doing important things – me as well as the whole team.”

“We’ve been trying our best since the start of last season. We’ve qualified for the Europa League, now we’re fighting for a Champions League spot.”

“And it’s the big motivation to keep growing as a player and getting into the Champions League is always a plus that satisfies you and keeps you thinking about big things.”

Of course, with Wolves competing for the Champions League, as things stand, Jimenez may not see a move to the Emirates or to Old Trafford as a major step up.

The Gunners are three points off Wolves in the table, although they do have a game in hand, while their prospects of Champions League football are low with the London club eight points off Chelsea in fourth.

Jimenez would, though, be a decent addition if he did opt for a switch to Arsenal. The 28-year-old has been in excellent form this season, having scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in 44 appearances.
