Merson Makes Bold Prediction Ahead Of Arsenal’s Game Against Everton

Ex-Gunner Paul Merson thinks Arsenal will come away with an important win against Everton tomorrow afternoon.

The TV pundit is backing his former side to go to Goodison Park and make a statement in the race to clinch a top-four spot:

“Arsenal have also got a bit tighter at the back and I think they will get a massive win here. They have hard games left with Everton, Leicester and Wolves away. They are games you would not be surprised if they lost but you also wouldn’t be surprised if they won quite comfortably.”

“That’s Arsenal. If you are an Arsenal fan that’s what you have to live with for the next six weeks, but they played some good football on Monday against Newcastle and we know they can do that.”

Merson has gone for a 3-1 win for the Gunners, which would give them a massive boost heading into a busy April fixture list.

After Everton, Unai Emery’s side face Napoli at home in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final before a Monday night trip to Watford.

It may not necessarily be the defining week in Arsenal’s season, but three wins from three could prove pivotal in the fight for fourth, and increase their prospects of winning a European trophy.

An extra day’s rest between the first leg against Napoli and the Watford should help, but the Gunners won’t be looking that far ahead with Everton the main focus.
