Not a great night for the defender, losing Jean-Philippe Mateta for the first goal. It was a simple case of ball watching rather than focusing on the man he was marking.
For someone who cost £50m, that is very disappointing and, hopefully, White doesn’t make any similar misjudgements in some crucial upcoming matches.
