Martin Odegaard’s market value is approximately £40m and it may lead to Arsenal asking Real Madrid for another loan deal, according to Eurosport.
The Norwegian international has been excellent in recent games, leading some fans to call upon the club to sign the playmaker on a permanent basis.
However, Odegaard’s price tag would force the Gunners into raising funds through player sales, and Eurosport claim it is more likely that they will ask Real to extend his loan at the Emirates.
Arsenal do have a very good relationship with the La Liga champions and they have already brokered a similar deal for Dani Ceballos last summer.
The Spaniard is on his second season-long loan spell with the Gunners and it seems like the London club will explore the same avenue with Odegaard. The final decision, though, will be dependent on Real boss Zinedine Zidane, who may yet want to include the 22-year-old as part of his first-team plans for next campaign.
