Wenger managed to convince Marcelo Brozovic that his place is at the Emirates. According to Metro, a £6million deal is under way as the 22 year old looks set to leave Zagreb. The player’s agent confirmed negotiations and expressed both Brozovic’s and his desire to reach an agreement with Arsenal. The midfielder who increased his price drastically over the past year, is expected to be the subject of a difficult set of negotiations due to the fact that he is tied up with the Croatians until 2019.

The player’s agent insisted that Brozovic is not lacking in offers but he is determined to move to London regardless of who puts in a bid for him. The Premier League looks like the dream destination for the 22 year old who impressed in the 2013-2014 season. The only downside with him may be the fact that he is registered with some unknown injuries which kept him out of the game for three months in 2013. Well knowing that Arsenal play a lot of games in one season and that the squad is already very thin, Wenger could think twice before bringing in someone new who has injury issues.

Hopefully the 65 days spent on the bench were not caused by something serious. The youngster seems to have recovered well from whatever set him back. It is just a matter of time hopefully until negotiations will settle into an agreement.
