Manchester City V Arsenal: Match Preview And Betting Odds

It’s been three months since Arsenal last played a competitive game and the Gunners will have a tough test on their return to action when they travel to face Manchester City at the Etihad on Wednesday night.

Manager Mikel Arteta has said that his side may have an advantage with the game being played behind closed doors, but playing the Citizens will be a challenge no matter the circumstances.

Arsenal will be without at least two senior players for the game with Cedric Soares suffering a nasty facial injury after being hit by a ball in training.

Calum Chambers will also be unavailable as he continues his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Lucas Torreira is back in training following an ankle problem but it remains to be seen if he’ll be ready to feature this week.

In contrast, manager Pep Guardiola has a fully fit squad to choose from with the break in fixtures allowing both Leroy Sane (knee) and Aymeric Laporte (muscular) to recover full fitness.

At the bookmakers, City are the heavy favourites to get the three points, with Unibet pricing them at 4/11 for the win. A draw is 9/2 with William Hill while an Arsenal victory is 8/1 at Betfair.

Predicted Score – 3-1 to City
