Manager Believes £15m Rated Brazilian Ace ‘Has The Level’ To Play For Arsenal

Club Brugge manager Ivan Leko has backed Wesley Moraes to make an impact at Arsenal if the Brazilian were to sign for the Gunners.

Unai Emery’s side have been linked with a £15m move for the striker in recent days, and when asked about the rumours, Leko said Wesley has the ability to play at the highest level:

“I’m sure that Wesley has the level to play for Arsenal. He can be proud of what he’s done in the past six months.”

“He’s working hard and reaping the benefits, but to play in the Premier League, he needs to work even harder, and every day.”

Arsenal have been linked with a number of forwards ahead of the January transfer window as they look to replace Danny Welbeck.

The England international broke his ankle in the Europa League group match against Sporting Lisbon at the beginning of last month and is expected to miss the majority of the season.

Wesley has been in good form for Club Brugge in the Jupiler Pro League, having scored seven goals and contributed five assists in 16 appearances.

The 22-year-old is not the only player being tracked with reports in England suggesting that the Gunners are also interested in Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.
