Malaga’s Ignacio Camacho Hints Towards Possible Premier League Move

Arsenal failed to sign a defensive midfielder this winter and have directed their attention towards youngsters raised by the club. Even so, they will still need to bring in reinforcements at the end of the season when Flamini will probably leave the club. Even though Arteta is still under contract his future at the Emirates is not the most secure thing in the world. According to the Daily Express, a solution to fill in the gaps would be to bring in Ignacio Camacho who made himself available through some public statements which were taken seriously despite the fact that he tried masking his desire to leave. Apparently the 24 year old will consider leaving Spain in order to be involved in the race for the Champions League which is currently out of Malaga’s reach.

The midfielder urged clubs to come and get him, hinting towards the fact that it will take a pretty sizeable offer in order for him to accept signing a contract. Valued at about £10million and still under contract until 2019, Camacho will probably be one of the harder targets to land. The club is clearly intending on keeping him as money does not seem to be a big issue with the Spaniards.

Camacho could make a great addition to Arsenal’s squad who have been missing a strong, fast midfielder who can keep up with adversaries like Oscar, Willian, Hazard or David Silva. The 24 year old looks more than capable of doing that despite being young and a bit unexperienced when it comes to constant confrontation with star quality players.
