Luiz And Elneny To Start, Gabriel On The Bench: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would have been glad by the reaction from his team in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool on Thursday night. After losing the league game earlier in the week, it was important that the early season momentum was not lost.

The Gunners face Sheffield United tomorrow, and Arteta is likely to make a number of changes as he rotates his squad. Bernd Leno will, though, keep his place in goal after starring midweek.

In defence, David Luiz may well be recalled in place of Gabriel, with Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding playing either side of him. Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are expected to play as the wingbacks.

After not starting in the Carabao Cup, Mohamed Elneny could replace Dani Ceballos in the starting eleven in order to add some steel in midfield, where they could be outnumbered by the Blades. The Egyptian will likely line up alongside Granit Xhaka.

Up front, Willian, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been favoured by Arteta for league games so the trio are expected to be included in the eleven tomorrow.
