Loic Remy Seems Desperate To Join Arsenal

Loic Remy looks the most likely player to join Arsenal this summer. Despite being a Chelsea fan, he is now keen on becoming a Gunner. The 27 year old forward, who is to return to QPR after his season loan to Newcastle, has a £10million buy-out clause in his current agreement. This would allow Wenger to make the first transfer of the summer especially with the £100 million transfer budget still left intact up until now.

Arsenal should move fast as rivals Liverpool and Chelsea have already started signing new players. The Gunners were already behind when it comes to squad depth which means Wenger needs to start spending big. Remy, who was on the Frenchman’s list last year as well is now desperate to move according to the Mirror. He has proven capable of handling Premier League demands and he would come in more than useful considering the problems Arsenal had with injuries.

Hopefully last year’s scenario will not repeat itself. Arsenal missed out on some great players because of their rigorous negotiation style. Ozil was a last minute move which proved a bit of a gamble. The German had he issues as he adapted to the Premier League which will not be a problem with Remy. It would be a pity to see the Frenchman leave for Liverpool or Chelsea who are also interested in signing him.

Let’s hope Wenger can seal the deal and bring Loic ‘desperate-to-be-a-gunner’ Remy to the Emirates as surely it would be a great fit for both player and club.
