Wenger managed to apparently steal Sanchez from Liverpool, after the Chilean should have been involved in a swap that would have lowered Suarez’s price with almost half the money Barcelona paid for him. It is well-known that Wenger is not a big spender and is rarely involved in head to head battles for important players. Landing Sanchez was a stroke of genius though. The striker is now the Gunners’ best scorer and has managed some very impressive performances since moving to the Premier League. According to the Daily Mail, former Liverpool man Jamie Redknapp insisted that Sanchez was the perfect replacement for Suarez. Both have the same set of skills and the same determination. Even if the Uruguayan striker is more decisive in terms of scoring, it is still fair to say that it would have been a swap that would have worked a lot better than bringing in Balotelli.

Fortunately for Arsenal, Sanchez chose Emirates. It wasn’t luck though as it was most Wenger’s intervention that convinced the 25 year old forward to come to London rather than Liverpool. The Chilean had no problems adapting and has become more of a leader for the Gunners than most other players currently in the lot. Even though most rumors say he will not be staying for too long on Emirates, Sanchez is doing a great job right now. Despite the fact that he had some problems with some of his colleagues who are lacking his enthusiasm, Sanchez never publicly complained or has hinted towards an early departure and seems like the consumate pro.
