Let’s Talk Business With The Manchester City Case Front And Centre

No one threatens the regulator. Every area of business in Europe has a regulator. Whether you sell office equipment or run a gym, whether you repair computers or sell coffee, you are regulated by the state.

And if you are told by the regulator that you have done something wrong, as a business you reply. You acknowledge the regulator’s right to explore the issue, you provide evidence and you co-operate as Tony Attwood reveals in the video below.

Manchester City have vehemently denied any wrong doing with Chief Executive Ferran Soriano saying the allegations from UEFA “are not true” in response to the ban and fine imposed last week, in an interview with City’s in house TV station.

Will it work? Well, the club are appealing UEFA’s ruling and are looking to take the case to CAS and possibly beyond that to the highest judiciary they can in the search for what they believe is justice based on evidence rather than politics. If the ban stands then Arsenal and their rivals are suddenly chasing an extra Champions League spot for next season.
