With Leeds winger Raphinha unlikely to make the switch to Arsenal, supporters have been considering potential alternatives that the Gunners could go after.
Last month, it was reported in Germany that Mikel Arteta’s side could make a move for former player Serge Gnabry, who has reached the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich.
After it was suggested that Arsenal should sign the German international, there was a mixed response from fans on Twitter as to whether it would be a good idea:
Let go for him

Not if his wage demands are over 300k per week.

I have preferred gnabry over this whole raphina thing the wholetime i dont know why everyone wanted raphina. Gnabry is a gunner through and through

He's been fairly average for the last year or so, certainly not worth the wages he's wanting

Scene … 🔥 if we do sign him

We will have to break our salary structure for that to happen. He's demanding in the region of £300k a week. I thought we learnt a lesson from Özil's situation

Gnabry is the man

Astronomical wages. Arsenal will only want plays on below 200k a week

Gnabry’s salary demands are likely to be an issue. It is believed that the winger is looking to earn €15m a year, roughly £250,000 a week. That isn’t beyond the scope of the Gunners but it is still a big contract.
There will also be competition for the 26-year-old’s signature. Real Madrid have been mentioned as potential suitors, along with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.
