Leno Confirms Emery Had To Calm Down A “Very Mad And Crazy” Arsenal Dressing Room

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has revealed that the Gunners dressing room was not a particularly happy place following the draw against Watford on Sunday.

The London side let a two-goal lead slip in the second half, and Leno said that emotions were running so high that manager Unai Emery had to calm some of the players down after the match:

“Everybody was angry and disappointed after this game. The manager is a very positive guy. He wants to be positive and he said we will analyse this game with time.”

“Now everybody was with emotions, very mad and crazy. But that is normal after the game. He said ‘calm down and then on Tuesday we analyse this game and then on Thursday we have another game.'”

In one sense, it is a good sign that the Arsenal players were upset despite the fact they didn’t lose the game. On the other hand, it is concerning that there appears to be a lack of composure inside the dressing room.

Of course, it is very hard to tell what the players really think about Emery. There is certainly question marks from fans and pundits alike about the Spaniard’s decision making following the draw.

However, it might be the case that Emery likes to have a dressing room which is very vocal, In any case, it will be interesting to see the players reaction when they face Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.
