Lazio eyeing Aaron Ramsey as replacement for outbound Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Serie A side Lazio will turn to Aaron Ramsey to replace the outbound Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.

Savic is widely expected to join Manchester United in the coming weeks after months of speculation linking him with a big money move to Old Trafford.

The midfielder was sent home from the World Cup with Serbia last night after being beaten 2-0 by Brazil –  a result which saw them finish third in a competitive Group E.

Juventus and Real Madrid are also understood to be interested in the £70 million rated midfielder.

And should the Serb leave Lazio as expected, the Serie A giants will turn to Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey as a replacement, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Welsh midfielder is entering the final year of his contract at The Emirates, meaning the Gunners could be forced to sell up to avoid losing him on a free next summer.

Contract negotiations between Ramsey and Arsenal and understood to be ongoing, with manager Unai Emery keen to keep the 27-year-old in North London.
