Arsenal’s troubles will grow with each fixture if Wenger fails to transfer at least two defensive players. The Gunners look lost without Koscielny and Vermaelen. Regardless of the reason they are not playing, both left a huge gap in the defense. That gap is not to be filled with players like Monreal or even Chambers who are trained to express themselves best while on the flanks. Wenger is trying to find all sorts of solutions too but has trouble actually solving things due to the lack of players available. Both fans and the club’s management are eagerly awaiting for the January transfer window to start in order to see what players will come to Emirates.

According to the Daily Mail, one name just got to the top of the list. Monaco’s Layvin Kurzawa who is valued by the French at about £15million is becoming a priority. The left-back who is also targeted by City and United, has made his international debut for France and seems to be in a very good place professionally speaking. The 22 year old has been scouted by Wenger’s people for a while now but will be very difficult to sign. Bayern is also interested in his services and could place a bid for him in a couple of weeks. Even so, Wenger will have to pull out the big guns this winter if Arsenal plan on getting at least one trophy at the end of the season.
