Latest Arsenal Injury Report: Updates On Saliba, Leno And Pablo Mari

Arsenal have confirmed that William Saliba is fully fit and ready to start matches following an injury-free preseason. The Frenchman was in the starting eleven for the 4-1 win against MK Dons yesterday and could feature against Liverpool in the Community Shield this weekend.

Bernd Leno also started at the Stadium: MK and while there were reports earlier this month that suggested there were still some concerns about the knee injury he picked up at the end of last season, it seems he is now fully fit. Pablo Mari is recovering well from an ankle injury he sustained against Manchester City back in June, but he is not back in full training. The Spaniard is aiming to return sometime next month. Calum Chambers is back in light training but it appears he is still months away from returning to action. The Gunners say he is expected to be back before the end of 2020 but no exact timeframe has been given. The defender has been out since last December after picking up a serious knee injury.

Gabriel Martinelli is currently in Brazil undergoing rehab following knee surgery. He will return to England by the end of the month, with the hope he’ll be back in training before the end of the year. Shkodran Mustafi is expected to be back in October. The German is off his crutches after an operation on a hamstring problem and he will now start his rehabilitation.
