Latest Arsenal Injury Report: Updates On Partey, Tierney And Xhaka

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey was not involved in the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Watford yesterday afternoon after picking up a muscular injury.

Manager Mikel Arteta would not be drawn on how long the 28-year-old will be out for and it remains to be seen whether he will be joining up with Ghana during the international break.

Arteta has, however, confirmed that Kieran Tierney will be involved with the Scotland squad, despite not having played for Arsenal since the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace last month.

The left-back was on the bench against Watford but he had only taken part in two training sessions before the match and the decision was made to keep Nuno Tavares in the team.

Granit Xhaka appears to be making very good progress in his comeback from a knee injury. The Swiss international was pictured doing some light training at London Colney last week.

The club’s medical department have pencilled his return in for January but it looks as though he could make his comeback earlier than expected.
