Latest Arsenal Injury Report: Updates On Partey, Chambers, Nelson And Pablo Mari

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey did not join up with Ghana’s squad for the games against Sudan after the 27-year-old picked up a thigh injury in the 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend.

The midfielder had to be taken off at half time during the game but no timeframe has been given on when he will return to fitness. It will be hoped that he is back fit and firing for the game versus Leeds next Sunday.

Calum Chambers returned to competitive action when he played the first half of the EFL Trophy match against Gillingham on Tuesday night. The 25-year-old has not featured since sustaining an ACL injury versus Chelsea last December but he is now closing in on his return to the first-team.

Reiss Nelson has missed the last two games versus Molde and Villa due to a knee problem but he is expected to be back in training this week and should be available after the international break.

Pablo Mari should also be in contention for first-team games soon. The Spaniard had a setback on his comeback from an ankle injury but he is now very close to a return barring any further problems.

Gabriel Martinelli is still undergoing rehab following knee surgery and won’t be back in action before the end of the year.
