Latest Arsenal Injury Report: Updates On Nelson, Smith Rowe And Lacazette

Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson will be sidelined for a few weeks due to a knee injury. He withdrew from the England Under 21 squad yesterday as he looks to recover his fitness.

The 19-year-old is unlikely to feature for the Gunners again this month. Arsenal’s home game against Wolves on Saturday 2nd November or the Europa League group match versus Vitoria Guimaraes on the 6th are likely return dates.

Alexandre Lacazette remains on course to return to first-team action after the international break. The Frenchman has been receiving treatment for an ankle injury which has kept him out of action since the North London derby at the start of last month.

Whether he’ll be fit to start against Sheffield United on Monday week, it isn’t known. The Gunners have only committed to saying that he should be “back in action in October.”

Emile Smith Rowe is also likely to be ready following the international fixtures. The midfielder had to be stretchered off after a collision in the Carabao Cup win against Nottingham Forest last month and was not ready to face Standard Liege last week.
