Latest Arsenal Injury Report Ahead Of The Napoli Game

Arsenal have injury doubts over two players heading into the Europa League quarter-final tie against Napoli tomorrow.

Granit Xhaka has missed the last two league games against Newcastle and Everton with a groin injury and the player’s fitness is still being assessed ahead of the match at the Emirates.

Captain Laurent Koscielny is also in a race against time to be fit for the game. Manager Unai Emery was hopeful that the Frenchman would be available for Thursday but the centre-back is still recovering from a bruised left foot.

The 33-year-old has not played since the 2-0 win over Manchester United due to the issue. Although his absence may not be as keenly felt against Napoli, the two-match suspension for Sokratis in the Premier League means the Gunners could do with him being available for Monday’s game against Watford.

Three players remain out of contention for the long term. Danny Welbeck is back out on the training pitch following his broken ankle, but he isn’t expected to play again this campaign.

Defenders Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin are continuing their rehabilitation from anterior cruciate ligament injuries, and both will be hoping to be fit for the start of next season.
