Vorskla And Tottenham Injury News

Arsenal have four players on the sidelines heading into tonight’s match against Vorskla, with some unlikely to be back for the London derby against Tottenham on Sunday.

Nacho Monreal is still suffering from a hamstring injury. The Spaniard has not played since the 5-1 win over Fulham in early October, and he is expected to remain out for the next 14 days.

Alexandre Lacazette is a doubt to face Vorskla with a groin problem that kept him out of the Gunners’ 2-1 victory against Bournemouth on Sunday. The striker is likely to be rested for this evening’s game so he can be ready to face Spurs.

One player who could make his first-team return, however, is captain Laurent Koscielny. The defender has not featured this season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon but he is getting closer to a comeback after playing for the Under 23s on Monday night.

Danny Welbeck remains on the sidelines with a broken ankle and is out for the long-term, while Konstantinos Mavropanos is still recovering from a groin injury and is expected to return to full training sometime next month.

There is some good news on the injury front, though, with Stephan Lichtsteiner having recovered from a hamstring problem. The veteran fullback is available for tonight’s game and will be fit for the derby at the weekend.
