Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says that Leandro Trossard picked up a groin injury during the 3-2 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Belgian international was replaced by Emile Smith Rowe midway through the first half and it remains to be seen how long he will be out for.

Gabriel Jesus was pictured taking part in the warm-down following the victory against the Cherries but the Brazilian has yet to return to full training and he is not expected to be available when the Gunners take on Sporting Lisbon this Thursday.

Jorginho was an unused substitute at the weekend, with Arteta having confirmed that the Italian had been suffering from an illness that led to him being taken off versus Everton midweek.

Eddie Nketiah, however, did not make the matchday squad for the Bournemouth game, having picked up a minor ankle problem. Mohamed Elneny, meanwhile, is likely to miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
