Latest Arsenal Injury News: Updates On Tierney, Luiz And Xhaka

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he isn’t sure how long Kieran Tierney will be out for after the fullback sustained a knee injury in the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.

The Scottish international pulled up just before half time, and he is now a major doubt for Thursday’s crucial Europa League clash against Slavia Prague.

David Luiz missed the loss yesterday evening due to his own knee problem and it is feared that the Brazilian may well need surgery, which could keep him out for the rest of the season. Arteta is, though, hoping that the defender could be out for only a few weeks if an operation isn’t required.

Granit Xhaka was unavailable for the Liverpool game due to illness but it is hoped that he should be ready to play in the Europa League next week. There is less certainty over both Emile Smith Rowe, who injured his hip during the international break, and Bukayo Saka who is still recovering from a hamstring injury.
