Latest Arsenal Injury News: Updates On Saka And Xhaka

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka had to be substituted at halftime in the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

The 20-year-old was on the end of an awful challenge from James McArthur, with many, including manager Mikel Arteta, believing that the Eagles midfielder should have been sent off.

Saka is now a doubt for Friday night’s game versus Aston Villa, and there should soon be an update from the club’s medical staff about how long he could be out for.

Granit Xhaka is undergoing rehab as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury. The Swiss international collided with Lucas Moura in the second half of the North London derby against Spurs last month.

The initial estimated return time was three months but Arteta believes that Xhaka will be determined to make his comeback before then. The earliest that we’ll see the midfielder return to action is probably the start of December.
