Latest Arsenal Injury News: Updates On Pepe, Kolasinac, Xhaka, White And Partey

Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe missed the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend due to illness, but he is expected to be back in contention when the Gunners return to action against Norwich City in nine days’ time.

There is less certainty regarding Sead Kolasinac. The left-back had to be substituted after a nasty challenge by Jules Kounde who was sent off during France’s game against Bosnia last night. Kolasinac’s manager Iyavin Petev said after the match that the prognosis was not good:

“I talked to him, he doesn’t look very well.”

Granit Xhaka has tested positive for the virus whilst on international duty with Switzerland and he will now have to self-isolate. Ben White, however, has recovered after missing the defeats to Chelsea and City. The centre-back should be available for the match versus the Canaries.

Thomas Partey is still on the mend following an ankle injury he sustained during pre-season but the medical team were confident he’d be back in training ahead of the next league fixture. Eddie Nketiah is thought to be slightly further behind in his recovery from his own ankle issue.
