Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is not expected to be available for tomorrow’s game against Dundalk. The Ghanaian suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury in the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday.
No estimate has been given regarding the 27-year-old’s return but after the match on Sunday, manager Mikel Arteta said the player will need to be assessed by the medical staff.
Gabriel Martinelli returned to action last night, starting the EFL Trophy game for the Under 21s against AFC Wimbledon at Plough Lane. It was the Brazilian’s first competitive match since he underwent knee surgery back in June.
David Luiz was not in the matchday squad for the North London derby and he is unlikely to feature tomorrow evening. The 33-year-old is still recovering from a head injury which he sustained in a nasty collision with Raul Jimenez in the 2-1 home loss to Wolves last month. It remains to be seen how long the centre-back will be out for.
